2020 Spring Pain Symposium
Virtual Pre-Recorded Course

Updated May 20, 2020

LPTA Spring Pain Symposium Offered as Virtual, Pre-Recorded Sessions

As many of you know, we have been closely monitoring the coronavirus crisis and recommendations by the Governor, WHO and CDC. Given the increasing uncertainty of the future ahead of us, and following the recommendations from experts and government authorities, the LPTA Board decided to cancel the in-person component of our 2020 Spring Pain Symposium. This was a most difficult decision, but we believe that it was the only responsible action to take during these extraordinary times.

SESSIONS WERE RECORDED AND SENT VIRTUALLY TO REGISTRANTS

The course sessions are now in pre-recorded video format and have been sent to registrants via email. The Louisiana Physical Therapy Board has relaxed the number of online hours for the 2020 renewal period, and will allow licensees renewing this year the ability to use our "online" Symposium course to help meet their total number of required hours for the upcoming renewal. The Board has also extended the license renewal deadline to May 30, 2020. Please click here to read the official Board Resolution outlining the 2020 Renewal Waivers.

Those renewing in 2021 will still have to meet the "onsite" requirement of a minimum of 15 hours, but can take part in our Symposium course to earn online hours (maximum 15 hours) toward their required total hours for 2021.

LPTA distributed the video presentations of our Pain Symposium course to you via email after you registered. Once you sign into the sessions, you can work at your own pace and will have several days to complete the course. Once you have completed the number of hours you have registered for and send in your verification questionnaire and survey (sent along with the course access), we will send you a certificate via email for the amount of hours you have completed.

Please note that you will only receive credit hours for the sessions you are registered for.

The links to the video presentations are accessible through May 24, 2020. After this date, you will no longer be able to access the videos of the presentations.
